Hòa Bình is a mountainous province in Vietnam's Northwest region, covering approximately 4,590 square kilometers. As of 2019, it had a population of about 854,131 people, with the Mường ethnic group constituting the majority at 64.28%, followed by Vietnamese (Kinh) at 25.69%, and other ethnic minorities such as Thái, Tày, and Dao.
